When do Newborn Portrait Sessions take place?
Between 10 -14 days after birth. When a Newborn Portrait Session is booked (usually in the 2nd trimester), the due date is penciled into Emily's calendar. Once baby arrives, parents must reach out to Emily to make the session appointment.
How long do Newborn Portrait Sessions take?
Due to the nature of the session and the needs of a newborn baby, Newborn Portrait Sessions can take anywhere from 1.5- 3.5 hours. Baby is always the boss and will dictate how long your session will take.
Do we need to bring anything to our Newborn Portrait Session?
Nope! The studio is fully equipped with everything need for sessions. However, if you have something of sentimental value that you'd like to incorporate into your session, Emily encourages you to bring it along to your session. She will always do her best to include it in the portraits.
Can siblings come along?
Of course! All newborn, family, and maternity portrait sessions include parent and sibling shots at no additional charge (up to 6 people). Emily believes that it is important to document the whole family during this time.
When do outdoor Family and Maternity Portrait Sessions take place?
On-location outdoor portrait sessions take place within the first 90 minutes after the sun comes up or the last 90 minutes before the sun goes down. This ensures that Emily can utilize the most ideal lighting conditions for your portrait sessions.
When will I see my portraits?
Once Emily is finished with your gallery she will get in touch to schedule your gallery reveal. This typically takes place within 30 days of your portrait session.
Can we book our session for a weekend?
All studio sessions take place during studio hours, which are Monday - Friday, 8am - 3pm. On-location sessions take place Monday - Friday, during ideal lighting timeframes (see above). Weekend sessions are offered only on special needs basics and additional fees may occur.
